Good evening all,

Does anyone know how to fix the "car theft alarm" for fiat Stilo Abarth?

I know the alarm is not working as every time i lock the car the second beep sounds indicating a fault with the alarm.

When i turn on the car the message "Alarm failure return to dealer" message appears on my Dash board.

However every now and then the alarm works :confused::idea:

Does any one have a fix or a reason why this happens?

Many thanks

Lee

I had alarm fault message on mine ..and mine is faulty siren tried second hand one and still same so I used multiscan software and disabled it still have flashing indicators when press key fob and led in door flashing ok but got rid of fault message you would also need 5 digit electronic code from fiat to carry this out using multiscan software..sure dealer could do same but multiscan will read fault code with alarm also

Hi guys

The factory fitted siren is located under the windscreen scuttle.

Hi guys still not sorted this as was not too bothered but mov8g house soon so will need it ,it was raining heavenly the time it stopped churping made a funny churping then stopped all the ultra sonics still work just no beep

I assume that you've already checked for power and earth at the siren?

There doesn't appear to be any way to diagnose a faulty siren other than by substitution with a known good one.

I've recently bought a second Stilo with a siren that doesn't work because of water damage to the PCB. I swapped it with the siren from my first Stilo and it worked immediately. It doesn't need any coding.

Not all Stilos have the factory fitted alarm option, so they are difficult to find from car breakers. I've been messaging everyone on eBay that's breaking a Stilo for a few months and haven't found one yet. A new siren from Fiat is about £170.

If you look for one in a breakers, rather than take the scuttle panel off unnecessarily, you can tell if the car has an original alarm because it will also have the 2 alarm exclusion switches on the front interior light.

If you manage to find two of them, let me know. ;)

Hi guys managed to get my alarm siren housing out
Noticed the connecter had become corroded everything else looks fine is their any way to get the circuit board or if I get a punto meta alarm would it plug and not need codeing:cool:

If the connector is corroded, then it's likely that the PCB is also corroded. The PCB is not available separately.

The siren is unique to the Stilo. Even though it's a Meta siren and the housing is the same as some other Meta sirens, the electronics in other versions will not work with the Stilo's body computer.

This is the PCB from one I bought recently. Had to get a refund for it.

The small white battery connector on yours looks as though it has green corrosion, that may be your only problem. If you can solder the battery leads directly to the PCB, it may work. If you solder them, make sure you get the polarity the right way round. You can see from my picture above which way the red and black battery wires should go.

I'm gonna try it but if not if I got a new siren and computer I would not have to re wire it would I just can get one from Italy and fiat want 240 +labour to fix does anyone know where the control unit is under the dash
