Hi Guys,

As we all do, we adore our Bravos, we love them so much but what's the secret behind them ? There are lots of more powerful, more chic, more elegant, more economic, simply more options...

But, we do all stuck in them !
Well, there must be an explanation...

This is called the "X-Factor"

What is the "X-Factor" according to you with in your Bravos ?

As the "X-Factor" stands for :
- Driving Pleasure
- Style/Design & Looks
- Driving Comfort
- Responsive Steering/Engine etc.etc...

Ok, now it's time to reveal the "X-Factor" in Bravos !

Why do we love them so much ?

PS: Is there any manufacturer left, who did not copy the unique "polo-mint" tail lights ?
I can't remember :)

i love the driving position, the ride, the fact that i only know 1 other car with the same kit as me so its rare. and not many boy racers have them. there cheap to insure and run, and part of the challenge is finding mods as its not off the shelf stuff :)

re

there is 3! i saw a blue brava with same kit at donny one year, only in car park though, not on show

other than that i agree, carzone/.indy whatever brava is very unique!

i love it

people alwsys used to ask me what it was cos i got no fiat badge lol

Re: re

as was said earlier i think its because its not just off the shelf items you gotta look properly into dkits and the such

and plenty of people have to ask what it is, esp. makes me smile when the police have to ask what car it is

Re: re

I think that he Bravo/a set the way for future manufacturers. As previously mentioned the rear lights have been copied by everyone and the cheeky curvy styling sets it apart from regular boxy traffic. Not only this but they are GREAT to drive. Handling is spot on and the steering is by far the best i have used. Insurance friendly and nippier than a baby crocodile - everyones a winner. Only bad thing is the cheap looking interior - oh well!

Re: re

I hope you are talking about quality of materials rather than styling Billy. Personally I love the design of the interior but would agree that the materials could have been better.

Re: re

love the styling, interior imo isn't that bad, the new fiesta is a lot worse, but then again my clio was much better build quality! i just think the 1st time I saw 1 I wanted 1!

Re: re

From my point of view, a friend got a Bravo in 1997 and I thought it looked sweet.

However, last year when I decided to sell my Vauxhall Belmont(!) and get a nice car, I found that I could get a 1.8 W reg Bravo with aircon, heated seats, etc for under £3500, all similar sized cars, e.g astras and golfs looked horribly over priced.

Luck then that I still think they look gorgeous.

Good points...

Guys,

Thank to all few responded but where'r the others ?

Altough they were good points, there must be better explanations for the "X-Factor" in Bravo's !

PS: Don't think about the Bravo's while U'r writing, just type the passion & let it come :)

Cheers,

Boorock

Re: Good points...

the X factor for me is when all you want to do is go for a drive, just so everyone can appreciate such an underapreciated (sp) car,

Me and My Bravo
I'm loving It!!

Re: Good points...

When you first clap eyes on a nicely looked after Bravo, you can not help but admire the stunning lines which no other manufacturer had / has the balls to include on a mass produced hatchback.
The rear light clusters, the rounded creased rear wings, the funky textures on the switchgear.

As the aging process starts, the average to poor quality materials start to show their true colours.

Who here has not had to change their door handles?
It's a door handle for pete's sake, it shouldn't wither away.

The engine in my 1.8 still purrs quietly and when fed super unleaded, enjoys the revs and on well balanced and inflated tyres, is a pleasure to drive on the motorway.

The biggest weakness of the car, is the crashy low speed ride, but, to this day, one of the most original and well styled cars in the hatchback market.

Re: Good points...

The X factor for me is the looks, i find it very comfortable, as long as your on good quality roads.
Engines still solid, 88k later,
yeah theres a few bits that need attention, but mine have all been little fidley bits and i enjoy that about a car.

I`d be bored if every time all i did was get it and drive, i like the little quirks shes got.
