water leak in footwell

Hi guys got a lot of water in the passenger footwell, I've traced it back to a purpose made hole under the dashboard (top left) where some cables come through, but I'm now stuck, I dont know how to take the dashbord off to search even further, I've taped up the seals around the windscreen but its still leaking in ........ this only happens when its raining any sugestions?

Check the small drain hole is not blocked in the recess where the bonnet hinge attaches to the body of the car in front of the windscreen. This is a well known problem - usually this area gets blocked with leaves and fills with water.
