Okay people, the time is getting closer to getting a new car. As some of you know, I have had nothing but trouble with my car, but I have always had them fixed.

Its a reflex green, 1.4sx, P-reg, 126k on the clock, 17" stilo alloys, arbarth rear spoiler. ITs been lowered 35/40mm.

I bought the car for £1400 back in Dec 2004, had it nearly a year and a half.

I am looking to part ex it for a new car, but am willing to listen to any offers near the £1000 mark. I live in the North East, Middlesbrough to be precise.

just a sugestion, but saying the comment 'i've had nothing but trouble from the car' and then trying to sell it may put people off

I dont mean to deflate youm but a 1.4 with 126k on the clock is worth about £400 at best. :( BUT, on the bright side, its only depreciated at a rate of about £750 per year. some people lose that in their first couple of months.

Thought I was looking a bit too high.

As an aside, what other smallish cars, in the lower insurance groups (up to about a 1.4) are pretty decent and reliable? I been thinking of

Honda Civic
Peugoet 206
Mitsubishi Colt
SEAT Ibiza/Leon
VW Golf
MG ZR
Rover 25 Series

No Corsa's though, nor Saxo's.

What about the horrendous gearbox issues the 1.2 Phase I and II's have?

Ian.

Just took my car to the garage, and it looks like the head gasket. So that is getting sorted out now.

Been looking at new cars, and I must say, the 206 is a nice little car, could be my next car.

All the things wrong with my car have been right-ed, so it still drives nice.

my g/f has a 206... great little girly car :)
