no traffic shapping, direct connection through an onsite router. all flats on site connect to the same server though. so peak times are horrible... :bang:

the university has its personal firewalls and site filtering to stop pop-ups and inappropriate use. plus i have my own firewall on the netbook.

thats the hardline network, plugged into room router using network cable.

this is the wifi on the otherhand. pretty slow in comparision

there is similar on gadget show website, worth doing it on there as the results are being collated and given to the offcom people or whoever it is who regulates this stuff. they're trying to get law changed on advertised internet speeds, i'm supposed to have 8gb or mb or whatever download speeds, but in reality, it ain't.

this is what they're trying to stop. the providers talking crap to sell broadband.

I'm 38 download and 8.5 upload and it just keeps getting faster unlike regular BB that just kept getting slower

well, im back home now, and the SkyBroadband feels slow in comparision, so here we go...
