Can you back out of an eBay item if you are under the strong suspicion that is had "shill bidding" / "artificial bidding" on the item?
Just to clarify, I set my max bid to £300 (the item was at £210). They bidded it up to £330 and then retracted the last bid knocking it back to my max bid of £300!. The bidder was the same bidder and 100% of their bidding activity for the last 30days was on that one seller.
I've already reported it to eBay but how long will that take? :chin:

Last time I raised a case with ebay they responded within 48 hours I think, probably not quick enough in this case though.

Your right I've already got the seller at my ankles asking if I want to pick the item up or use a courier.
i thought you get 2 weeks to pay before you can be given an unpaid item strike?

Still no reply from eBay. Got some excuse about a foriegn bigger retracting their bid. Funny how they didn't retract all of their bids (all made in the same 3-4 minute period).
