you could say something along the lines of

I can adapt my knowledge and put it across in a way everyone can understand

Just explain the basics, what they are and how they work really and expand if needed as follows:

Power -> Operating System -> Hardware (e.g. Hard Drive and CD Drive etc) -> Programs (Micorsoft package like word etc).

Thats how I would explain it, maybe ive been too into computers to miss somethign simple

A confident, reliable, capable and friendly individual with a good range of qualifications. Various and extensive computer skills, knowledge of networking, hardware and software. Looking to practice skills already gained and expand knowledge. Able to explain computer terminology and workings clearly to an individual who is not computer literate.

can i use auto glym extra gloss protection as a wax or should i put a wax over the top?

Good on solid colours, positively useless on metallics. You are better using an aerosol-based paint on metallics, and blending into the surrounding area.
