Alright fair doos :)

Question... Power or economics? Don't say both..

personally economics by far

powerfull car is nice to have but temptation is allays there increasing your chances of getting caught speeding, im not saying you would but you know what i mean

economy for me coz i doubt petrol prices are gonna be dropping much soon and with the whole rescission and everything and being a student just makes sense lol

I'm proper stuck in two minds now. :! haha
I assume you're referring to a car, in which case power if you can afford it, economy if you can't - simples

I'm reffering to a car yeh. Either the 1.4 16v (75ps) or the 1.6 8v (100ps) Vw Golf. It's not the insurance at this point that matters though.
I've heard the 1.4 doesn't seem to go up hills very well, and is very slow. but gets very good mpg. But it would mean going to a slower car. However the 1.6 is meant to be alot faster and has more spec, however it's a 1.6 = abit more thirstier but I've heard very good things about it!
So bloody confused. Might just go for the 1.6.. if it's a bad move then fair play I've learned my lesson and it's something to teach my Grandkids LOL They do keep their moneies so I'd probably be able to sell it on as easily

Ive driven a 1.4s on a test drive, literally went round the block and took it back as it felt soo underpowered, test drove it for all of 5 minutes. I was going to try the 1.6SE but then ended up saving a few grand and bought a Bravo 115HLX (im talking like 9 years ago).

The 2.0 8v GTI isnt too bad, dont know what the insurance would be like though.

So which one is the "power" option? :p

100ps isn't exactly earth-shattering for a 1.6, but I'm sure it will feel like it compared to your old punto (and the 1.4 Golf).
If you take it steady you should get pretty decent economy from the 1.6 though.

Is it just me that doesn't understand why VW ever named a car after one of the gheyest "sports" known to man?

Edit: congrats on your new acquisition. Hope you managed to find a reliable one (no reason why it shouldn't be reliable), and I hope you enjoy it (y)

Slow and steady wins the (fuel economic) race :p

I opened a phone contract and at the time it was an ok deal but now I can get so much more for my money and I have gone about £10- £20 over my bill for the last 5 months or so. :(

Does anyone work at 02 that can get me a discount or save me money or anyone else for that matter (I know you can :p)

I will of course pay you money:) (more money for the more you save me)

For the money your paying has O2 now got a better package or is this in comprison to other companies? If they have a better package for the same price, call them up and get them to put you on it (y)

The enquiry is complete
The vehicle details for VX09 *** are:

What does the Bold bit mean? I went into DVLA and applied for V5 and paid my £25. Bloke said yep, its unregistered so will be sent to you within 4 weeks.

So its gone from 'unregistered' to 'unlicenced with keeper change'.

But I also got it SORN at the same time.

Well confused
