Rolf what are you going to get to hold it up? Front one clips into metal to hold it on and take the weight but in the back there is nothing. Not alot of space either.

I was looking at using some hardboard or maybe some stainless steel sheet (got a load lying round) for it to clip into like the front one

Yes but thats just going to add more weight to a weak roof lining that is held up by the 4 handles and the sun visors.

Talking about the light. There is also a metal support running across the middle of the roof with about 1cm clearance.

I reckon the weight of the light alone will pull it of the velcro circle in the centre of the roof. On that support. Equalling in a free hanging roof

in my scudo I put a shed load of loft insulation - also hide about 10 meters of cables up there and a few inline fuses, that roof liner isn't held on bu much - in comparison, never saged or broke.

try telling my employer that - we move IT equipment all the time, from laptops to servers, small enclosures etc, so they got us a focus hatchback seats get covered in crud and we allways have to fill it to the window levels to get everything in

Well empty the boot of all the other grud or get a bigger car.

My boot is rarely full full.

my insurance is 3k on a 1.2 gp considering most estates etc tend to have bigger engines i cant see the cost being much different although can exxpect it to be more
