No buy my 1108 and gearbox from the classifieds
I'd have to use the original gearbox and get an adaptor plate made up. I'm torn between wanting to keep it standard (which will involve replacing the cylinder head, and various other parts) or upgrading to FIRE power and adding an element of reliability in the process, but this will involve a lot of fabrication.
Both routes are equally expensive...
go super-FIRE or go subaru engine whats the point, unless its either nippy, modern and reliable, OR, super fast?

if you're going down that route, a 1372 out of a tipo would be a better choice, being n/a to start, and on carb/injection so you can choose, so 70-78bhp straight off, extremely good engine, and shares parts with mk2 unoT and punto GT so parts are more available. also pretty cheap!
