I was in a cab the other night and he had a road angel type thing that beeped when speed cameras where near. We were going down a road that we know had no speed cameras and it went off.
"My mate said why is it beeping there aren't any cameras?" He said "there must be a car around here with a speed gun in the boot it also picks them up"
Was he talking boll0cks? or do these things exist?
They pick up radar signals and that's how speed detectors work. Some also beep when you pass supermarkets, etc with automatic doors as they use radar too.
Wow now that is cool.
The bloke was talking/driving like he was drunk so I suppose its within his interests

They pick radar up but it has to be directed right at the sensor.
Mine also pick's up the signs that will flash if over the speed limit.
My dad's a good few years back pick up CCTV or something in Petrol stations. Cos it always went off when filling up!
Petrol stations have automatic sliding doors too.
