I solved my problem.
It needed to turn on the cd player for a while for recording to the body computer.

Hi Davren - I had £5 in my paypal account left from something so donated it to the Fiat Forum.

If you need any more will gladly give more on weekend.

Like I said I paid for the code online which both didn't work 7879 & 3415?

Cheers David - I did add note onto paypal payment stating Rat Trap

Can someone help? I have a Mk2 Punto Abarth - it has the integrated 5 cd multi changer and the headunit at top of dash with satnav. It is a blaupunkt.

I have just bought the code on line except it doesn't work - they gave me code 7879 and 3415 which neither work

The Serial number is: BP1430Y7548678
Fiat Prod Nr: 7 612 001 433

Help - I am a newbie

Thanks everso David

Just tried it mate - thanks - radio is now working :)

Just a wuick question - which button releases the CD's from the changer at the bottom of the centre console? Got one stuck in there and no buttons work to release it?
New to this Fiat Punto, not totally sure about how it works yet lol

I don't know which CD Changer you have. If it's the IDC-A09 one in the picture below, press and hold the appropriate numbered button for about 3 seconds to eject a CD normally.

If the CD is actually jammed in the mechanism, you will need to take the changer out and open it to release the CD.

The serial number for a Fiat Visteon radio should be M followed by 6 numbers.

Check it a post again.

Hi guys i have a fiat stilo abarth, when the battery was disconnected the master code request msg appereared!! I do not have this code and the only info i have is the serial number on the connect nav+ which is 735319233 and NPX003U2C?? I also have a IDC Ao9 cd changer! Please help guys, thanks :)

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Stilo Connect Nav+ units that were factory or retro fitted with the code do not loose the code when the battery is disconnected. The code is stored in the car's Body Computer so when the battery is reconnected the code is recognised by the BC.

You can get the code for an original factory fitted CN+ from a Fiat dealer from the registration number of the car. They will also need to see proof of ownership such as the car's registration document (V5). Price from a dealer for the code is usually about £30.

The only other way to get the code is to send the CN+ to Magneti Marelli in Italy. When I enquired about this 2 years ago, the price was €180 plus postage to Italy.

Do you know whether the CN+ was factory or retro fitted in your car?

I can get the code for your IDC-A09 CD Changer but you will need to post the serial number (BP and 12 numbers) stamped into the side of it and the part number (10 numbers starting with 7) from the paper label.

Thanks for the quick reply man, much apreciated!! thanks for the info too!! i think i will take it to the Fiat deal so the connect it up to the BC!!!

I have the CD changer codes in the small booklet it brings, the only thing is that it just flashes and does not work lol!!

on another note i have heard that inserting a 9.8 version of the ConnectNav+ skips the master code request message? is this true??

Thanks man!!

A Fiat dealer doesn't "connect it up to the BC", You get the code from a dealer then when you enter the code the CN+ and the BC automatically pair with each other.

If all 5 CDC lights are flashing, it generaly indicates that a CD is jammed in the mechanism or the mechanism is broken or misaligned.

Yes... installing version 9.8 firmware will bypass the need for a code but you may have to reinstal it each time you need to disconnect the battery.

Thanks, i could install the 9.8 version even if i have limited access to functions on the CN+? The only thing i can do atm is insert and eject cds as the master code request does not let me "navigate"

The stilo gives me too many elecrical problems man!!
