You need to leave the radio and ignition switched on until the display shows " CODE " then " ---- " then enter the code using the appropriate preset buttons.

I sold my old Blaupunkt Punto radio to somebody with the code but when they put it into their Punto it reads "CANSCANED" and will only turn on or off. Is this because the radio was matched to the ECU of the original Punto (06 model)?

I've never seen that exact message (CANSCANED) before. I could be that the new owner is fitting a CAN enabled radio into an older car that doesn't have a CAN system or he/she hasn't connected the CAN connector.

If the message says "CANCHECK", a radio engineer can disable the CAN requirement from the radio, but I don't know about "CANSCANED".

Thanks for the 6545 code, I was given that code by a fiat dealer before I tried on ebay, and had no luck with that code. So both 6545 and 5152 don't work. Do you have any further suggestions please?

Providing you've posted the correct serial number, 6545 is the correct code for the radio.

If you're entering the numbers correctly and it doesn't work, the code must have been changed by a radio engineer by reprogramming the EPROM inside the radio. Only way to do it would be to take the radio to an engineer and get the EPROM read for the code.

Would probably be cheaper to get a replacement Punto Radio/Cassete player from eBay though.

The waiting time increases depending on how many times you've tried a wrong code as follows: 1 min, 2 min, 4 min, 8 min, 16 min, 30 min, 1h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 16h, until reaching a maximum of 24 hours.​

Hi Ive had the ignition on for over an hour on numerous occasions and it still shows radio block/wait. At no point has it given me the option to enter the code? Im lossing all faith in it now?? Any other ideas? I would really appreciate it
