I have bought a used car from a guy who installed a CD player to replace original radio deck. I have no code and I would be very happy if you could help me obtain it.
The serial number on the right side is:
BP9372Y3641303
It is a blaupunkt for a Fiat Punto 1,2 2001.

I have a slight problem. Since i took outmy radio unit to check the serial number it constantly ask to WAIT. Tried turning off/on nothing helps its been like this all morning. How long can i wait?
No possibility to enter the code, any suggestions?
If the display shows " WAIT ", leave the radio and ignition switched on until the display shows " CODE " then " - - - - " then enter the code using the preset buttons. i.e. press button 2, then 6, then 6, then 2.

Just how long do you have to wait for the "wait" to switch to "code" on the radio. I did wait for about 10 minutes and nothing happened except when I was about to start the car. It seems the battery died although it sounds strange after just ten minutes. If you have some idea please share. Now I can not drive nor listen to radio.

Could be up to 2 hours depending on how many times a wrong code has been tried.
Obviously, if you do it without driving the car, you will need the battery to be fully charged.

also the radio says waiting - I have driven it for nearly an hour today and still no change to the waiting status.

Hi, Welcome to the FF.
Thanks for donating to the forum.
You have posted the part numbers for the radio you need to post the serial number. For your radio, it will be something like BPX331XXXXXXXX, and may be stamped into the side of the radio.

Many thanks for the help and the code. Finally I could enter it.
Another issue i tried to find a solution to on the forum is if you need the special tool for installing the original stereo again. To me it seems that way since I can not push it in with mild force. If someone nows it would help a lot.
The stereo operates/starts but I guess it must be fully installed to actually be able to here anything but noise from radio.

It should just push in and 'click' when locked into the retaining catches. You only need the tools to remove it.
The radio should still work even if it is not pushed in fully. Check that the aerial lead is fully pushed into the back of the radio.

HELP!! Getting frustrating now.
I have had my car over a week, a FIAT multiple. The radio has the message WAIT on it, and having read the manual, it tells me there should also be the length of time I have to wait. There is not. So far I have had it on for well into two hours and nothing.
So number of questions.....
1) if there is no time sitting alongside the wait message, is this wrong?
2) if so, what does it mean?
3) how do I fix it?
Any help gratefully received as I need a radio as talking to myself is no fun!

For the Multipla radio/CD, the waiting time can be upto 24 hours depending on how many times a wrong code has been attempted.
For most Fiat radios, the radio and ignition has to be left switched on until the " WAIT " message goes. I'm not sure if this applies to the Multipla.
