I've got a punto 2001, a cassette got jammed and in an effort to fix it my Dad disconnected the radio and took off the front fascia. We re-installed it but didnt know the code and we're not sure the radio works. We got another radio off ebay but when we installed that the words 'CHECK' came up. He was told that casette are linked with the original car and so you need a check code to get the radio to work, is this right?
My code is BP137424829006
Any help would be gratefully appreciated, Thankyou

I tried the code but it hasnt worked. It says 'check' as opposed to code and when i type in the code nothing happens. Have you got any suggestions?

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

You have posted the Blaupunkt part number for the radio, you need to post the serial number. For your radio it will be something like BPx372xxxxxxxx and will be stamped into the side of the radio.

Pop off the blanking plates that this chap is pointing at, get some radio removal keys or two bent lengths of wire coathangar and push them into the holes, this will release the locks and the radio should pop out a little.
