Read the road markings at 12 seconds. :)

The markings are very confusing though.
At the 12s mark, you have the three lanes clearly marked, you were in the A61(S) lane. To your NS was the lane for the A617.
However, it looks like immediately after the turn for the (I presume) A617, instead of spiralling your lane to the NS, the lane for the A617 becomes the NS lane for the A61(S) - and the lane you were leaving is STILL the lane for the A61(S).
Without further footage, I'm guessing that both these lanes will go off onto the A61(S) & either filter into one lane or continue as a dual carriageway?

If there had been a coming together, your own footage would show you clearly leaving your lane & cutting the other guy up.
Can you link to the google map of that roundabout for clarification?

Cant resist it.

Overtaken by a motorbike.
Why do you feel the need to post it on youtube and here?

:yeahthat: them lines aint painted on the road for decoration, if you need to cross them mirror, signal and manoeuvre when its safe to do so with out disrupting the flow of traffic in the lane you are trying to merge into.

I used to work out of the same yard as the council transport bods. Someone once told me how much it costs to white line the streets & we are talking stupid money. I can't remember the prices they told me but it was into the £hundreds per metre!

Although I'm guessing this cost was planning, someone going along to mark out (so stopping/diverting traffic) & then the line painting crews etc.

The marking where she cut into my lane are wrong, but that's no excuse for her to be in the wrong lane, I was in the correct lane 100%.

Not quite, watch it again closer, he sits beside the golf for a while, then overtakes him and steams up my boot, into the danger zone then overtakes me.

Overtaking me I don't have any issue with, I actually thought it was done well. It was him trying to get in my boot I had an issue with because if I'd needed to brake, he wouldn't stand much chance.

dave - Please read my post then look again, I was in the correct lane.

Most roundabouts in Chesterfield are very poorly laid out.
