You are correct I don't know the exact conditions.

However what I do know is that it was a residential street, so the maximum speed is 30mph (although it could be 20mph). And you cannot get a car up a kerb, across grass, a wall through a hedge and two cars and that far into a house (on a corner) from a 30mph start.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...80mph-ploughs-house-Oliffe-Way-Aylesbury.html
The passenger sent a text seconds before the crash, they were doing 100mph.
As much as I love my kids, I would struggle to show them any compassion if they were to do this sort of thing.

I think the main problem majority of us have here is the fact that at some point we are all plagued by these tools driving dangerously & the more you drive, the higher the likeliehood you will come across these idiots.

Going back to Scout's original post - if the car had been fitted with a dsahcam, there would be no need for expensive crash investigations, the footage would have shown the driver a> driving like a tool way before the accident or b> driving normally & a sudden, unexpected 'surge' a second or two before the accident..

EDIT, altered link.

interestingly, the paper reported this as being the result of a crash at 80 and yet the passenger's text moments before impact said 100. What's even more interesting is that his mates were at the scene before emergency services!

That car only penetrated the wall slightly further than the Audi, gives some indication of the speed at impact of the Audi, and that had been slowed down by kerb, Hedge and two cars.

That Vauxhall was doing 'alleged speeds of 80-100mph', defo wasn't doing that at the time of the colission that can be guaranteed. Only have to look at the crash signature on the vehicle to know that was probably only doing about 20-30MPH that the point it colided with the building.

I'm not gonna get involved in who's fault is what etc. But i would just say that the total end damage to a situation greatly depends on how the driver reacts to a crash scenario. Heck we have all seen video's online now of crashes that start from stationary and the person for whatever reason floors the gas pedal and has no control and the car only stops when it hits a concrete bollard/building/wall or whatever.

I've not read that article, just saw the pic. I don't know the road at all or the circumstances, i just think debating what the initial speed was is just a bit silly is all - it matters not. Even though it seems pretty clear from whats been said on here already that said driver was driving like a plonker.

its really hard to see what happened there my friend
It'll be practically useless to insurance companies :(

On saying that, i wish i put the card back in mine

I was going home, when there were 3x lads on bikes

The decided to go on the wrong side of the road across a junction
Its wet icy and dark
They were practically invisible
They went storming across the junction when a taxi was coming the across the junction, how they didnt hit is beyond me!

i'd of felt sorry for the taxi driver tho wouldnt of been his fault!

naughty DZR!! and in the 2nd video! why did they stop?! should of gunned it would of been fine then?! ah well morons ;-)

Thing with the second vid, even if the guy had simply carried on at the speed he was doing, there would've been bags of room.

Even better was the idiot who was driving behind me on the approach, as I entered the roundabout in the left lane, he decided to follow the straightest line over. As I checked my mirror to pull around the car, the car behind had sped up to overtake & was nearly level with my back end (but in the offside lane) - so had to brake. As I took the exit, he had to resign himself to pull in behind me :D

Can't understand why the pic has reduced from full screen to a band across the screen?

Would be interesting viewing a video from the car behind you, as you pull into a lane causing them to take evasive action. Two wrongs don't make a right. (especially when you come on here saying how well you drive compared to everyone else) or am I missing something?

As I said, I checked my mirror & it was safe to pull over.
I would assume that the type of person who wants to overtake on a roundabout by taking the shortest route would also be the sort of person to make a huge fuss (horn & lights) if I were to have really cut him up.

its a shame that only a foward facing camera

In a supermarket car park - car pulls out of a space infront of me - so i stick my indicator on - im having that space

A Crazy ass burk driving a merc decides even though my bum is already over the white lines into the space he's going to pull in too!

I end up forcing my way in - giving him a scorn full look and he' buggers off

But seriously he wasn't paying attention, luckily i was

I had that with some blond in an Asda carpark once, specifically waiting for a normal space as close to the entrance as possible as a friend had injured her leg, but I didn't want to use a disabled space as don't have a badge, went to reverse in and this arrogant **** in a Jag decides to pinch it.

She couldnt see what she'd done wrong. Had the cheek to say I'll only be 5 min and when I come out you want have it.

Not normally my thing, but I commented on how nice and distinctive her bright red Jag and it's private plate were and that I'm sure it'll probably stick out a mile if seen again in Norwich. The look on her face

So you can tie a tin can under her rear axle and she wonders what the f... is going on and why is her car making a racket?

I just park across the space and leave a note on my screen explaining to everyone else, And i would have added don't worry i'll only be a couple of hours
