And secondly at a traffic management controlled lane merge, after it's my turn to move and passing standing traffic that is waiting to turn right a land rover decides to pull out into traffic doing 40mph. Although after reviewing the video I can see the indicator which I missed while driving so should have been more alert to this. So partially accept fault for this.

I wondered if he'd checked his mirror for that lane didn't see anything then decided to put into gear take off handbrake do some knitting and go... by which time you've pulled away from the lights (changed into the middle lane a bit too early but in this case that's helpful for him) and then they've seen you and booted it. Could have been uber nasty!

Moved over early as it puts me in the next position in plenty of time. Sometimes that right Lane can back up all the way to those lights.

Issue is three different lanes coming from three different places all merge at the exact same place and the go off in different directions so people in the right Lane may need to cross three names for the next junction. Really not planned well.

Looking back his indicator comes on as the transit van passes him, so he's had the same idea of "I'm in the wrong Lane and need to move" but the gap is huge between us and he takes ages to move out by which point it's almost to late.

Luckily the brakes in the alfa are brilliant. If I was in the cinq the I may not have stopped.

Traffic light's? where I'm going we don't need traffic lights.

you always get people going through late but this is ridiculous

also new horn sounded good

did think about it and was just looking in to the best way to go about it.

don't bother waste of time
you can always tell poor drivers anyway because they have one or more brake lights out like the van because they are always on them

proper sign of a bad driver keep your distance:)

Both of those could be simple Sat' Nav' errors. Is that an incredibly wide angled lens or do you over react to everything on the road? You had loads of time and space in both instances.

I would have let the SAAB pull into the bus stop and ask if they needed directions instead of horn blasting and a blind overtake on a wet road; and I'm sure the damage to the Range Rover's wheel is justice enough for the Evoke driver who turned right instead of going around the roundabout. It must have saved them at least six seconds. ;)

Really liked the commentary though. :D

Interesting how the industry is aware of these problems and yet still refuse to insist on compulsory dashcams in all vehicles.

Also interesting that scammers are going more for commercial vehicles - which explains many of the problems we're seeing.
One of my colleagues was overtaken on a roundabout, car cut him up & the vehicles barely touched.
The sole occupant of the corsa is now 5 occupants and all suffering bad whiplash. The whole side of the antique corsa is completely mullered - and yet not a scratch on the plastic bumper of the bus!
Sad to say, I'm the only driver who uses a dashcam!

It's a lot more indepth than just 'you must have a dash camera', there are legalities regarding data storage and security etc just to start with, which are different for a commercial company vs private individual. Then various other issues.

Rest assured though, it'll only be a matter of time ;)
