I almost got run over by a Waitrose lorry a couple of weeks ago. He was driving down the wrong side of a long traffic island, at speed, in an HGV.... I was crossing and I don't normally look left as the traffic is one way from the right....Next thing there's the side of a speeding HGV passing in front of my eyes!

I emailed and complained and got the following reply:

"Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to learn of your experience and am grateful to you for letting me know about it.

I’ve passed your comments on to the branch management team.

Thank you again for taking the trouble to tell me about this. Your experience certainly doesn’t reflect the high standards we aim to achieve. I apologise for the inconvenience caused and we will make sure that this type of incident does not occur again."

Sounds like a standard response to me, but at least they responded....

So, you've got yourself a new vauxhall astra & you were driving along when you saw an oap walking along the grass verge & decided to take him/her out by driving at him/her at 70mph?
As long as you get some good footage to please the bloodthirsty crowd

Highway actually says it's illegal to reverse onto a drive way from a main road. . It's also wrong to reverse out a drive so drive in drive out, cos that's possible lol

Tell me about it. Astra driver done very well!

He's got all the Fiesta drivers details as I chased the fiesta and made him pull over and exchange details (that might be another video) - he didn't even realise anything had happened!

Astra driver has my details as witness and video copy also if turns out his car is damaged but he thinks it's ok.

He called me an hour later thanking me for chasing fiesta driving down and to have a general chat about the incident. I think he was still in shock, understandably. He did ask if he thinks it should be reported to the police and I said it'd be a good idea but I'd leave it to his decision.

Fiestas fault, didn't give way. But would be very much one word against the other without the video.

4 day week & I get three 'events' within the space of 5 mins.
This was the first...


The next two are almost identical but happen to other drivers ahead of me (not this car) and didn't really come out on the video very well.

I think the long weekend also upset my mobius since the time and date are way off - and, of course, you don't realise this until you pull the card and watch the vids.
One of the problems with using the capacitor rather than the battery.

Diving across 2 lanes is stupid!

To Dombooth - I have exactly the same problem when trying to get back onto my own drive when school run in about.... Really annoying

To be honest, I wouldn't have minded if he'd just got on with it.


If that were me in a strange town (or even making a last-minute decision , it happens to us all at some time) I would either boot it to get ahead safely OR move to lane 2 (to allow the car behind to get by) then slow up to pull in behind OR go around again (it's a sort of large roundabout).
But to simply wander across & expect everyone to give way is ridiculous.
I didn't react because I assumed he was going into lane 2 to go through the lights & by the time I realised he was coming into my lane it was too late.

One of those times when someone just trundles out in front of you.
At least he did eventually notice me and swung back to the centre of the road. Otherwise I was wondering whether to hit the road signs or his fuel tank.
No GPS lock so no recorded speed, but it was about 60.
