@sludgeguts I found that happened with mine once I had converted the Video. Try changing it to .AVI then upload

On the card & viewing with VLC, it's doing the same thing - but I'll give it a go with the conversion, cheers.

Edit
Not made any difference. Looking at all the files on my card, they are all approximately 2 minutes long (strange, because the setting is for 5 minutes on the cam!) but filesize varies wildy between 26mb up to 62mb - depending on how much video is saved/how little freezing.

Time for a factory reset sludgeguts

could be right.
Formatted the card, tried the defrag, found some software for testing SD cards on the dashcam forum & it's come back all clear.

Next thing then is to press the reset button I guess.

If this fails, I'll have to use the new F70N - the 60fps one I bought that is crap at recording off the rear cam! - I'd rather have a half ropey recording than miss important bits. And sod's law dictates that the important stuff happens right when the video freezes.

I'm kinda putting off the upgrade to twin mobius as there will, hopefully, be some pretty decent units coming out soon (fingers crossed for twin remote cams, small DVR with dedicated SD card (one per lens) 1080p at least for front cam - maybe even with an app to download files / upload new firmware, change settings, view images (for setting up, getting angle right etc)

Thank God it worked.
formatted the card, ran some checking prog on it & everything said fine.

Pressed the reset button on the camera (a couple of times - for luck!)

And left it to see what would happen. I note all filesizes are now 72 - 74MB in size.
And I'm glad it's working, on my way home from work...

She cant claim if was her fault witch the vid clearly shows it was

She doesn't know there is video evidence of what she did as she didn't stop. It would be a case of who got in first/shouted loudest. I'm not saying she will but if she does at least the 'evidence' has been logged.

Until she claims for whiplash off you

Claim of who, what, where , when & how?
She drove off, took no details whatsoever.
The only way she could claim is if I report the incident to the police & they track her down via her reg.

I'd be soo peaved there SG

If i had to brake, i know i'd of locked up badly.... it looks very wet / greasy

I'd be making sure if there were any bumps against kerb's that she paid up for the damages!!

(chucks an extra 'f' to post 634 )

Actually, my OSF balljoint is sounding a bit rough

Trouble is, it's such a ballache. I've got years of claimfree motoring behind me and yet the one time a muppet does come into contact, I now have to declare it for the next 3,4 or 5 years (depending on insurance company). I'm pretty sure my premiums are higher as a result of my 'claim'.
seems that i am being penalised just for asking them to represent me when i would've thought their costs were recoverable from the other guy?
"have you had a claim in the past X years?"
NO
"even if it wasn't your fault"
"OK, yes - but deffo not my fault"
I see, but we need full details"
"why? it wasn't my fault, the other guy's insurance coughed for everything"
"we still need to know every little detail"

I wonder if they feel that I'm a muppet magnet?

Claim directly through 3rd parties insurer ;)

Who you with ATM? Sme companies load for fault claims slightly some don't, so luck of the draw as to if it would affect you still by claiming :(

I'm currently with Aviva. but they all ask the same question. they all say they ned to know about non-fault claims

Correct, apparently for fraud detection. I'm led to believe however that Aviva (direct) do not load for none fault claims. A lot of the cheaper companies (and brokers) seem to though (n)
