If the DVLA think it could be a desirable plate they will eventually offer it for sale at auction. I get their catalogue every time they hold an auction, and it's amazing how many plates that were issued in the 70s and early 80s appear for sale.

Saw a Hummer with the plate B16 CUN. Hummer, B16 CUN, says it all really. Perhaps a plate that somehow makes up the word TWA.......well, I think I'll leave it at that.

In which case, they must be loads of plates that have never been previously issued, as they are always coming up for auction.
