Yup, electric. There isn't another way to do it, its an electric column.

I'll ask, and I'll check it out. The cars had a front corner and a back corner. While I was there I also spotted a 156 with the ribbed calipers.

Oh ah you definitely should get the caliper, think your old uno T ones uses a smaller disc than 240x11?

do you know which model 156 is it ?

good luck removing the pas. its a pain in the arse.

altho i was trying to get the whole loom out intact. i would but the wiring leaving as much on the connectors as you can so you can rejoin when do the conversion. colours all match up as I have shown you.

Mine is working great. alternator failed not long after (it was very old and worn anyway) but ive upgraded to a 90amp punto alternator and it seems even better now. and does not load the engine up at idle as much as my old one did when using pas

Much hanging upside down, and balancing on oil drums, got the column out without breaking anything, either on me or the car.

Forgot the ECU, doh.

Need to go back tomorrow.

More hanging upside down, got the ECU. Went to cut the plugs from the loom to discover that the battery was still connected.

Now, all I have to do is find time to work on the car.

Ive been trying to change the timer but i think its just the way the ecu is mapped.

if you are not bothered you can just leave the wheel speed wire disconnected which will make the pas think the car is at standstill.

yep.

its pulled to ground internally so it will just think the car is at standstill

as you found out yourself:bang:, the main power feeds are connected directly to the battery (with a 40amp fuse)

the thin red wire goes to a wire which is live when ignition is on (10amp fuse) which triggers the internal relay. you hear it turn on then off (does a diagnostic) it then waits for the engine to start via iirc a blue wire (connected this to the fuel pump feed)

so you could put a switch on either of these

I've been busy with 'other projects' but there is an event later this month so time to take it for a run and to get the tracking sorted.
