Hi all
I need some help
I did timing belt change in january this year. We have checked if everytning
its working properly with the mechanic. On the first look everything was ok, but next day and further days the problem came.
The temperature looks like its not working properly. Sometimes the car its getting the correct temp and stays on 90 but sometimes its going half way of 90 and will go up slightly or go down. Even if I drove 20 miles.
Say for example today route birmingham-coventry the temp idle stays half way of 90 and go up slightly and down but soon as i get home the car stayed still for up to 5 minutes and temp was 90
So I dont know whats going on
I ve checked oil to see if colant its not getting to engine oil
and i have checked coolant level and its okay no leaking

Any one know where the problem could be ?

Car: fiat punto mk2b 1.2 8v
Thanks.

Right, So I did a quick research for prices of thermostats fiat quote me £21 incl VAT. Some local shop that sell parts quote me 11.50 incl vat that the Continental brand
As I am working for ECP I can get Circoli thermostat but dunno if the car will accept it. Its aftermarket one and not sure if it will last for long. Some people like it some not.
Any one had it on their car ?

But I will take off thermostat on sunday and I will check if its 100% that

Thanks

Circolli are fine, I put one in my V70 last week and my heater is now toasty hot. Which Euro do you work at, Bentley Bridge by any chance?

I havent got chance to check it
But i realised that on the radiator there is that little screw that you open to let all air go away.
I think that could be the problem . I only unscrewed the one next to thermostat when i was puting in the coolant.

I worked at coventry branch

Ah. You're not in the West Midlands then. not sure which Midlands you're classed as but Coventry's not allowed to join the West Midlands.
