Temp gauge

Hi there. does anyone know what the problem maybe with my bravo? the temp gauge sometimes flickers up and down and sometimes sits in the red until i tap the dashboard and it ruturns to halfway/normal temp??

Usually a loose connection that does that. I'm sure there's a guide for it?

My Bravo HGT did the same. Checked I had no apparent overheating, the fan operating normally and no air locks in the system. Thumping the dash was a temporary fix, the Temp Gauge fix posted on this site (re gauge pins) sorted it but pays to check it is the gauge!

Im gonna get rid of it in the new yr anyway, so i cba. want a 1.9D or 1.6
