Finished the 1.2 punto 60 conversion, but im having issues of an irratic idle, and a flat spot between 3000 - 4500 RPM.... I think its down to the TB as when we removed the old cinq engine (non runner) we had no pipes connected to the TB, and the new engine didnt come with any pipes fitted either... as for the haynes manual it doesnt explain much, so we have done the best we could... but without any help i dont think we will solve the problem.

Can anyone tell me where all the pipes on the TB should go to... ive numbered the pics to make things easier if anyone can help...

Its a standard TB from the punto....

Also finally is there any way to fit the 899 tb top to the spi tb from the punto, as it wont fit with the gasket, and theres a big gap without it.... cant see what the problem is as its exactly the same as the 1.1 cinq tb...

(trying to get an airtight seal round the tb to try and see if this helps the idle...)

The car is a cinq, fitted with the 1.1 gearbox and 1.1 ecu, punto 60 engine and full stainless exhaust system without cat or mid box, just rear silencer

there will be two pipes below the throttle butterfly. one goes to the map sensor, the other wants blocking off. next to number 6 does look damaged. that needs sealing.

i think 1 and 4 are water pipes. should be evident though.

been a while since my cinq was SPI!

The seal does not affect the idling at all. You either draw in secondary air after the t/b, have a sticky or non working idle control valve, wrong cam timing or valve clearances to narrow.
