tailgate lock

Has anyone had this problem with the Bravo tailgate... it opens fine using the internal release lever in the driver's footwell, but although the key goes into the tailgate lock, it won't turn at all, so I can't open the boot from the outside. My Bravo has central (not remote) locking but not on the tailgate. Helpful comments would be appreciated...

Hi. I had the same problem. It was a seized lock barrel, caused by the previous owner only using the remote handle. Pete

exact same problem here luckily my ignition barrell went a few week ago so had to strip it out and get a new one came with new locks for doors boot and glove box.

Mine was the same when I bought it. Spray loads of WD40 in th it. It will solve it for a few moniths before it seizes again!

yeah ive got the same problem on my brava though ive learnt to live with it now although it is incredibly annoying!

Me too!

Nothing to do with lack of use.
I always used the key, not remote release handle, but the barrel siezed after about 3 years.
