sweet wrapper charge

sweet wrapper charge

when i read what you wrote i thought, you do the crime, you get the punishment, but after seeing the article, 18months old and a fine for one sweet wrapper, what the hell are they doing. :bang: admittedly how do you draw the line between a small piece, and a larger piece of litter and both are littering, but a small piece dropped by a young child, surely if they wanted to do anything a warning letter would of sufficed!

I give up.... (n)
Wise move.
:ROFLMAO:

I think you losing this one mate!
One begs to differ. I dislike litter and the people that throw it as well, but I have to say that no matter how carefully you think about kids (or dogs for that matter) you can't think of everything. Whoever had put the wrappers in the door pocket/tunnel was obviously concientious about disposing of litter thoughtfully. If that was the driver then this doesn't sound like someone who throws their rubbish around. The child was secured in a child seat so I really don't see what more the girl could have done.

I once took Mrs. Beard's car to the petrol station and when I opened the door a gust of wind caught hold of a sheet of paper and whipped it out of the door pocket. Unfortunately, on top of it was about a dozen sweet wrappers, 2 empty fag packets and several peices of foil and cellophane wrappings from those packets. A strange bearded male could be seen scuttling around the forecourt chasing after litter for about 5 minutes.

Of course adults are responsible for the kids in their charge, but I think a little perspective is in order here. Had the driver been seen to be encouraging the child, then yes fine her. If the car had been stationary then yes, fine her. If it had been a takeaway food wrapper, hell yeah, hang her out to dry.

In this case I think a letter asking her to explain would have been more worth while.

Of course she's single she's 14 months old! This isn't Kazakhstan is it?
Brilliant! Inspired!! An old git comes up with the funniest comment of the year.

If shes only getting £30 a week from college (I'm guessing EMA?), how can she afford to run a car?

Edit - And all that make up

As others have said, its her responsiblity to make sure that the kid doesn't do stuff she's not meant to. Should know at 14 months old not to throw stuff out the window.

And, seemingly, little experience with reading - why do you keep referring to an 18month old?
The link in the OP and subsequent posts are quite clear about the age of the child.

As for 18 month old dogs - most do eat everything
