Should be loads on EBay make sure the year matches? If you don't have one, a Torque wrench?

Funny thing is i did use a torque wrench. Set it to 82NM the drivers side clicked fine. Passenger side on the other hand just went bang. Not really what went on there.

The part where it bolts onto has snapped off.

There is virtually no visible thread there.. how on earth did it burst the casting.. should have just kept spinning ?

Like a dumbass i thought if i stick a longer bolt and stick a nut on the other end it'd catch and solve the issue. Instead it cracked ?? any tips on how to remove the steering rack? I guess it'll be the same as replacing the sway bar by dropping the frame. Will i need more clearence for it to be dropped?

Possibly, the bolt looked fine on both sides no rust, the threads were also fine.

Hi guys, so changed the steering rack yesterday upon inspection of the old rack, looks like someone prior to me had already broken off part of aluminium casting so when i went to torque it up it just rounded off.
