Technical Instrument cluster. HELP!

Hi Fiat people. Can some shed some light on this issue. It’s happened since I bout this for my son. We have had the car for 3 weeks now. In the last week it happens every day then goes blank and sometimes just works normally. It’s only in the center all other warnings work normally.
Any reason why this is happening?
Does it need to be reset?
Is the lcd gone?

I doubt the LCD has gone. It looks like a poor data connection (bad earth or speedo plug).
Let's hone into some specifics.

• What year, and model?
• What have you done to it, since owning it?
• What other issues unrelated have you noticed?
