This week I have just had installed the new Tivo Box from Virgin Media. I also have a PS3 which until now was the only thing I had going through my Sony Surround Sound System via the an optical connection.
Now I wish to also have my TV (Tivo Box) playing out through my surround sound also, however, the amplifier only has 1 optical input. It has 3 HDMi inputs and 1 HDMi output and I was thinking of simply running the Tivo Box through an HDMi connection into the amp?
Is this the best idea? Maybe in the long term I will look to upgrade my surround sound system to one with more optical inputs but for now I was looking for the best solution?
Any tech' people out there could advise?
