Surprise buy

Hi everyone, new to the Fiat range ! Bought this little 500 for my daughter as a surprise 17th birthday present. It's currently in hiding though until the big day in February !!

Going to park it up at a friends house not too far from me so I can tinker with it if need be before her birthday.

Duckbills and rear axle cups are well worth an hour of your time

Duckbills I knew about, what issue's are there with the rear axle cups ?

They get full of mud and stuff, so well worth cleaning out. Ditto with a little 'tin bath' just behind where the front brake pipes attach to the flexis in the front wheelarch, that's a very nice little mud trap too.

As for duckbills, I didn't know what they were so googled 'duck bills', only I typo'd it and put in an 'i' in place of the 'u' in 'duck' and then google helpfully included results where the 'i' in 'bills' was replaced with an 'a'... Found all sorts of stuff I really didn't want to know about
