Hi,
needing a bit of advice, planning on doing an install in the boot of the coop but I'm gonna do it in such away that I can still get access to my spare. I plan to build it all in MDF and then carpet it all. My first question so far is ; do the subs need to be in a sealed box or will it be okay if I leave enough space at the back of the magnet for the air to move? Is it only free air subs that are suitable for non sealed enclosures?

This is the first of many dumb ass question!!!:)

20v T. K&N 57i , Turbo Smart dual port dump valve. Dual twin exit exhaust, lowered 30m. Result of a love session between a coop, a pug and a calibra!

Most subs work only in sealed boxes (or ported boxes- put simply thats a variant on the sealed box) but you can get some subs that work in both sealed boxes and as free-air subs i.e a free air sub uses the whole of the boot space as its enclosure.

Hope thats what u meant...
