Hey i changed the coolant with new one on 2021 with this blue coolant which is on the photo. The old coolant was not rusty at all, i changed it because i never changed it before. After change was done, my mechanic told me to put some coolant tomorrow till the max line before first run in the morning. That morning when i check the level was between min and max so i needed to fill some coolant for sure but i was in hurry and my plan was to add coolant after, but when i check the level next morning the level was at max line...strange and never fall down again.
(Also to mention on a highway at 5gear in summer my temp gauge goes up from 90c...i am not sure 100% this is after that coolant change and it is related to this but just to mention.)
Now before 2-3 months i spotted that my reservoir is a little dark colored and when i open i saw rusty coolant, you can see that into the white little cup in photos. It is rusty and dark brown color i even cant see the gauge on my antifreeze tester... Why would this happens? there was periods when the car was not driving at all maybe 1-2 months... the last year i had only 2000kms altogether. Maybe this caused a rust in the system?
With this new coolant changed in 2021 i only made 10 000 kms.
i am planning to change with new one and maybe change the reservoir but i am not sure that the mechanics would or want to flush the system good like i wants. What if i buy a new one and after 1 month the new coolant change the color again and make that reservoir dirt again...i know i can flush and clean this reservoir but i dont have that time and garage/equipment.
