I have problem with that steel coolant pipe and its gasket. My gasket leaks on the back of water pump where that steel coolant pipe is assembled. I took that pipe off but gasket is seized there. How I should get it out? Do I need to get water pump off?

If the gasket is rubbery, can you not jab a screwdriver into it and lever it out? Even if it has a metal ring reinforcement, you should still be able to jab a screwdriver into it and lever it out..

Getting the new gasket into place might be more tricky, so check whether you have enough space to offer the gasket up and then push it into place. If you can't get the old one in, then there's no point stressing about getting the old one out.. it may have to be a water-pump off (and that means cam-belt) job.
