Technical strange misfire problem

Hi, Hope someone can help.......

I have a 2001 1.2 Bravo. Upon start up from cold the engine misses for a few seconds then runs fine after a good rev. Also has an occasional miss when accelerating. Any ideas?

sounds like an electrical coil issue .

Exact same problem on exact same car '51 plate 1242 80sx. Didn't think much of it until it grew into a persistant misfire.

Not the coil pack - the plug leads. Looked fine, but with age the insulation had broken down to the point where No2 was sinply arcing to the cylinder head.

New set £22 from Eurocarparts and once again running sweetly.
