i have a stilo 1.4 active aircon and i recently got a problem when selecting 3rd gear, it just makes a horrible grinding noise and wont go into gear, when selecting any other gear i dont have a problem, is this something to do with me gear linkage? or engine or gearbox mounts????

Three possible causes I can think of:
1. Gear linkage adjustment (should be able to see it visually if you remove the air intake trunking)
2. Clutch (unlikely as it would affect other gears)
3. Something internal in the box (sounds expensive).

I've similar with my 1.4 active A/C at the mo in 2nd gear, will go in, but a pain at times.
