I bought a disc about a year ago and it's not as comprehensive as I'd like - I get a lot of "Info not available on this edition" messages. Literally purchased a newer one yesterday so I'll see how it goes.

Beware of people selling the old (early) version!

I already got a Stilo service manual on CD ;) although may be slightly out of date now.

PM me, and I will send it alongside the other CD....

Are these detailed like the Haynes manual would be if they did one or outlines only eg change oil at 12000? Are they worth having?

I always thought they were just copies of the original electronic manuals dealers use today, although there have been at least three stilo manuals and to my knowledge ten punto cd manuals, latest covering the previous manuals contents plus any new changes. The manuals cost approx £50 for updates to all dealers so they are definately copies and therefore infringe copyright.

Ok, so explain this then - when I wanted a 'Setup' disk for my Nav+, I went into the local parts department - they found it on ePer, and gave me the price?! Over £100 at the time...even the guys were shocked, and they suggested I get a copy off someone else ;)

Do you want me to explain the price or copyright????lol
The price is the charge Fiat charge dealers plus a small percentage added on for profit.
Copyright is the legal protection system that protects a product or idea from being exploited.

But Stuart, you and I know that life is never black or white :D

Just going to destroy my audio cd collection now, and also destroy my pc as well. (y)

I've though about getting one of these discs of eBay a couple of times. I didn't realise that there was more than one available... How dya know you're getting the most recent one and are they really worth the money?

IIrc with the copyright on things like copied cd's, I think it only breaches copyright laws if you receive a financial reward in exchange for them. Doesn't stop you giving the cd away while charging £5 for the plastic wallet it comes in.... ;)

Ok, new CD arrived this morning.

The old system was called DTE (Electronic Technical Data, in italian obviously), but the new system is called eLEARN, and uses the same logo as the new ePER parts system (DTE was like the old Compact98), so one assumes eLEARN is the newest one available.

Plus it covers the new 1.4 engine which DTE didn't. All in all, worth the £5 or whatever I paid :D
