Hello

I've posted this in the ICE section but i would like a reply soonish, hence my post in here!

Would a stereo from a Stilo Abarth 2.4 fit into a JTD (Active). I've seen this on ebay and wondered if it will fit ok

I think it should fit no problem because I've got a similar setup with a 7inch screen and a shroud around the outside of it to make it fit. That one should fit because its basically got the shroud built in with the buttons on the side if its the one im thinking of

Ah yes I know which one. It will fit however I'm almost certain the sat nav part of it won't work as you also need all the associated wiring and gps antenna which all fits neatly behind the dash which your active model won't have. The CD should work but once fitted the digital display underneath the speedo where the mileage is displayed will flash to say it doesn't recognise the head unit.

It has been done before though?

Here it is:

Would the display flash all the time? I don't want to start complicating things!

yeah that will work ok!

why does the sat nav put you off>? the proxy alignment can be done using the software...I suppose if we could guarantee the proxy alignment will work before you bought the stereo then id certainly get one fitted.

Personally, im getting something like this:

have seen a lower spec one for £200 (I think its lower spec, or an older model)

the connect plus will work with the existing wiring I THINK, but hopefully someone will confirm. The sat nav may need an aerial fitting, but everything else is built in as far as I know...

the unit I am looking at has built in GPS and uses Android apps such as MAPs for the sat nav - pretty nifty
