Hi, ive got my MOT today after beeing of the road for a while and i noticed this morning that the rear wiper arm starts off at the 12 oclock position, then goes the full distance all the way to 6 oclock which means it is going along the boot of the car and then on its way back it gets stuck on the STILO badge!!!!

its suppose to start at the 9 position and go to the 3 position!

I have seen a bolt on the arm under a cover

Is it just a case of undoing this, moving the arm to the left and tightening it until its ok?

Thanks

yeah i might try that! not sure how its happened, maybe somebodys twisted it or something one night.

Its not a MOT requirement to have a rear wiper arm, so it shouldnt be a problem, thanks

Also, you need to raise the arm off the window before you turn it.. that could also be the reason for it being mis-aligned.. someone could have raised the arm from the window and turned it and the nut hasn't been tight enough to keep it in place.

Nahhh let MMEEEE know if you need a new motor ;) not coyle.

haha i thought you used you rear wiper coyle?

Good point. Looks over practicality anyday!

Had that conversation with a astra vxr owner the other day who was taking off his rear wiper haha.

Re: Stilo rear wiper arm inoerative

in this nasty cold weather I have noticed now that my stilo estates rear wiper arm is now doing its best to wipe the tailgate clean and not the window area!

Perhaps inadvertently activated it when using front wipers and it was stuck to the rear windscreen in ice...

If I move the wiper arm/blade back to its proper place by hand,

thats to say where it wld normally sit when not being used,

it just flops down to 6.00 like a dog putting its tail between its legs!!!

It does turn but wont stay in position just goes to 6.00 to 9.00 sweep

re posts above any advise please, is moror likely to be burned out ?:cry:
