Ive never seen soot coming out a JTD stilo before, its only the old diesels that do that?! :D

JTD's do it, but only when cold/they haven't been booted in while.

Then again, Stiloboys 1.2 will soon be smoky too, if he keeps banging into the rev limiter :D

i remember at brooklands last time it was on in Oct, a black 3 door JTD did the hill run and has he booted it away a big cloud of black smoke come out of it i even got it on video lol :D But saying that it did do the hill quite well as well.

I'm sure your 1.2 could whip it though, well Stiloboys could anyhow ;)

i know the 1.2 couldnt touch it, i'm just saying thats what happened to the JTD at brooklands :p
Also mine has never seen higher than 4 and half thousand revs and its dont get 45mpg, so id like to know what magic stiloboy is using to be able to thrash the nuts of it and get that!

Well if you think about it the 1.2 isnt meant to be a high performance car is it. Its not bad for what it is, im sure if u drove the 1.4 focus, golf, 307, etc you would say they are very slow as well but theyre what that stilo is rivaling.

If your use to driving your 2.4 abarths and 1.9 diesels, both of which are much bigger engines the 1.2 will feel very slow. But I had a 1.2 8v mk 1 punto before this. So i am very happy with my 1.2 stilo and buying one at 17 years old i think the 1.6 and diesel would be considrebly (sp) higher for me to insure :( so im happy with it and thats what counts right :)

Lol @ Bob!

Tbh, I found the 1.2 surprising fun to drive; the 6 speed box is useful, and it can be held in 2nd and 3rd for quite a buildup.

The above is only pulling at Stiloboys leg, but he knows that :D

The only thing i dont get is stiloboy getting 45mpg out of it!!
If i drive mine sensibly i only average about 40mpg if im lucky

Ive only ever driven the 1.6 stilo and the 1.2 but i should imagine they are all pretty fun to drive. Just being a passenger in the abarth with TC driving was fun as well :D

Stiloboy only drives it if the wind is blowing in the right direction :)

You can all get to play in mine at the next meet, btw - you have to feel that thrust at 4000rpm......

Next time we meet, you can drive it Bob, (but you have to vote for me! ) :D

I wouldnt mind a drive either of an abarth?! as i want to come to the next meet; only didnt make the last 1 because had to work

Would be good, as i have the 1.8 at the moment and what to get the abarth for my 20th Birthday; which ent till next october... and still then insurance is still really high :bang: I was finking about just getting the manual though! :)

they are bit more on the insurance, cheapest quote for me on manual abarth is 2k.. Well ill just have to have a play in an selespeed and a manual and make my decision from there.. ..also read a post about an multijet abarth in 2005; aswell as the 140BHP multijet does anyone know they BHP on the abarth version. 140BHP multijet is only just slightly more than my 133BHP 1.8 now so not intrested in that version of the multijet but this abarth could be ok? and maybe a remap could be done on this aswell; been wanting my 1.8 remaped by angel tuning cant do it!! :D

Believe, the MJTD will be much quicker in real terms than a 1.8 ;)

I've never driven a 1.8, but most who have reckon the JTD115 feels just as quick, and the MJTD is rapid compared with the JTD, look at the torque figures, thats what gives you the in gear kick, which is what really counts.

I am under the impression that the M-JET is re-mappable, and also warranty-compliant as well :)- I dread to think what the total BHP will be, lol. Sounds interesting, though.

No idea about the Abarth M-JET, though. Even if it was the same as the standard, would be worth getting it for the extra toys, remapped accordingly.
