Technical stilo heater blower needed!!!!

Hi all and happy new year.

could anybody please tell me where i could buy cheaply a heater blower/fan for my 03 multiwagon? either new or secondhand? apart from ripp off main dealers? my car has the digital lcd type heater/heater display rather than knob type.

As the motor will almost definitely be fine, therefore the problem is likely to be with the motor circuitry, do you not know someone good or have auto electricians who could fix your existing one?

Does the heater motor run if you put 12v on the red and earth on the black heater motor cables?

You have checked the fuses, power supply and earth of couse?

also worth noting is

If the recorded battery voltage is lower than the threshold, the computer cuts in via the CAN network to send a signal to disable a series of appliances: this includes the fan control.

hi thanks for your reply, you are right, i have tried the fan directly to 12v and it runs fine at full speed ok, and iam aware it is the circuit board on the fan itself that it is faulty, but i have done some thing stupid, and have snapped the small circuit board whilst i was attempting to disconnect it from the fan, so now i have a fan that run on 12 volt directly but with no speed control, so i guess i cant do anything else but to get a new complete fan?

Hmmm a damaged circuit board kind of scuppers things. I remember someone saying they had found a firm that sells reconditioned heater motors. Do a search on heater fans and you may find them

Are all fans for the stilo variants the same? If so there are regularly stilos being broken on ebay (I know, bloody ebay), but there seem to be rather few breakers showing on the web. Worth a try.

hi has any one removed the climate control unit, my lcd stopped working, lights up , but nothing else, all still works just no display , need to remove it, thanks ,2003 stilo jtd estate
