Technical stilo electrical fault

I'm hoping someone may have come across this problem.
Keeping things as short as I can.
Recently my battery went dead on me ie 3 days ago.
Battery replaced tonight but now the instrument lights don't seem to be working. Well most of them namely the computer lcd readout rev counter and presumably speedo.
All were ok before the old battery discharged and the glove compartment fuses are ok.
I really am a novice when it comes to cars. What could be wrong?

Well I'm adding to my post as I think I've sorted it out, fingers crossed.
My Stilo engine fuse block does not have a cover. I considered the possibility that with the card being idle for a number of days in damp then cold weather that it had got to my fuse box and was shorting it out in some way.
I took it for a run , moaned to myself that nothing worked not even the speedometer not the fuel guage for that matter. Decided to put petrol in and then stop off to do some shopping. Got to the garage, got back in the car (no change).Set off for the supermarket finally coming to the conclusion that she had to go.
When I came back after my shopping my dash had returned to life completely.
(Typical Female if you ask me).
Seriously though I need to get that fuse block covered in some way, a trip to the car breakers or I'll have to make something myself.
Maybe someday someone will come up with a similar problem and just maybe what happened for me might work for them.

A cheap and easy solution is to get a roll of cling-film and cover the engine Relay/fusebox with the cling-film. (Any Cheap one will do!)
Alternatively,
you can use a plastic bag (Large Food Sandwich Type)
Place bag over the box with the opening of the bag ending on attached to the wiring loom underneath the Engine Relay/fusebox.
Seal it with many things you may have like bag ties, cable ties or even an old shoe lace.

Hmmmm mine is missing this cover too, think I better replace it before I have this issue lol
