Technical Stilo 115JTD turbo problem??

recently undertook a turbo replacement and all new breather pipes, intercooler was flushed and cleaned, also blanked egr valve at same time, car performs well, mpg has dropped a bit to around low mid 40's - poss blanking of egr valve- but still getting lots of smoke under load and appear to still have a oil leak from turbo on breather pipe side. Took off mounting at top of engine where egr connects to butterfly and there was oil inside the butterfly should it be there?

Blanking the EGR won't effect fuel consumption, if anything blanking the EGR usually makes MPG better so something else must be causing it. What colour is the smoke?

probably a dark grey colour not black black, worse on start up from cold then once engine is warm less, however, if keeping pace with traffic at any speed and then accelerate get quite a decent cloud, even a light dab of pedal will cause light smoke

Could be a faulty MAF sensor, have you cleaned it?

Try disconnecting the MAF sensor and see if things improve?
