Multiair itself is already in the MiTo and the 159 and the 1.8 in the 159 already has the same basic bits as the .9 but I'd still want to see other people driving the two cylinder fine before I took the plunge. Just don't want to see you get screwed over again with engine silliness is allTracy, you must be one of the few people not to know that I have had/am still having problems with my DPF. That is the ONLY reason I am changing the car. The fact that apart from the engine the new car will look exactly the same (apart from leather and interscope) shows how keen I am on my original choice.
I fully intended to keep the car for a long time and if Fiat could sort the problem out I would not be looking to change.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that this engine was going to be introduced in another vehicle before it became available for the 500, not sure if it was another Fiat or an Alfa.
As Tracy says, someone has to be the first and bearing in mind how many testing miles these engines have undergone I am prepared to take a chance.
Just out of curiosity will you have the same alloys as currently or will you go for your original choice?
