Hi,

I have a alpine x350 headunit which all works fine etc

But the steering wheel control are not functioning at all.

I am using the Autoleads PC99-ALP and PC99-X89

Anything that I need to do or is one of these faulty.

I have used the autoleads adaptors in previous cars so I am 99% sure they are wired up correctly.

Thanks
Aaron

I think that the power needs to be wired in the same way as the hu as it is not ignition fed. I'm sure somebody else will be able to confirm.

Not sure why its not working I have checked all the connections to make sure their in the right one and cannot come across anything unusual.

Matt which brand of connector did you buy do you have the connects 2 branded one as its an extra £20 for the unit.

Thanks
Aaron

I think its a wiring issue as the x305 has cables coming out of the back( not in the iso block) they are black,brown/yellow and brown/orange. In the manual it says ( to adaptive steering remote control interface box)

I will try my old alpine headunit tomorrow and hopefully that works as its all thread thought the iso connector and then I will have a mess around with the wires on the x305.

I didnt change anything on the wiring for the steering wheel controls. Just plugged and played.

didnt you buy the more expensive 1, i thought that the cheaper ones work slightly different?

Also to the op it may sound stupid but you have checked the hu is compatible with steering controlls?

Edcit i really aught to read the thread before answering.

The connects 2 connector works with the controls.

Two questions:

If i use the method on here to connect the blue&me via aux to my headunit i cannot seem to use the menu on the punto without it pressing up on the headunit.

When i turn my car off the stero turns off and when it comes back on the memory is wiped. Do i need the swap the yellow/red wires.

Thanks
Aaron
