Hi
I finally got my 1242 in the engine stand today:D
I`ve taken off all the ancillaries etc,When i removed the cylinder head i was really suprised,I shone a torch down the bores and i could still see all the honing marks,Is this usual on a 70,000 mile fire?
Or does it mean it`s had a rebuild recently?
Either way i`m chuffed just got to get a dial gauge down all of the bores to check they are true
Cheers
Adrian

yes thinking about it. even more so now that ive blown the bloody thing right up. exhaust valve on no2 and piston on no3. heads off atm. limped back from wolverhampton most of the way on 3 cylinders. then as i got on the crawler lane on the A17 just before cranwell it went to 2. still managed 45 out of her though!! oil everywhere.
know of any punto 60s in windleys?
