Hi

Just had new front pads and discs fitted, covered 300 miles no problem and suddenly they are squealing when slowing down to junction/roundabout under 20 MPH.

I have searched for threads on this but couldn't find anything specific to my ailments!

Brakes work fine but obviously sounds like there needs to be some investigation. I have jet washed the wheels so shouldn't be build up of break dust?

Is it a "take back to the garage" job?

Cheers, help much appreciated!

As you paid for a Pro job yes take it back & ask them to see what they missed. Maybe anti squeel shims, or a wipe of a copper based grease on the back of the pads and areas of the caliper that contact the pads.

Probably best to take it back to the garage, but try washing the discs and pads first, just a hose pipe through the spokes job. You might have got a bit of grit or someat stuck somewhere, happened on my Alfa 156, I stripped the brakes to get to the bottom of the problem snd found a bit of pea shingle stuck on top of outside pad. Removed that and all was well. A hosepipe would have resolved the issue without needing a spanner!

Mine do the same.
Had old pads and discs which needed changing and squealed really badly,I changed all the discs and pads and all was fine!!!But its started again
