Technical sportex centre section

Right simple question. I've got a mk2b 1.2 16v. Currently running a replamcent centre section and Ulter backbox. But the centre section rusted again.

Now i found the sportex centre section, or race tube as they call it. But they say it's for th 99-03 punto's and i got a 04. So does it fit?

Exhausts rot..... the fact they are going hot cold hot cold all time means moisture is always present...

Surface rust isnt a worry for exhausts

AFAIK Exhaust is common to Mk2 and Mk2/b since they are basically the same car. Apart from some electrical changes (Canbus) and a facelift to the front of the car most of the mechanical bits appear to be the same

Some cars did have a centre box/silencer which may account for some difference, but most are essentially the same

The 1.2 8v does not have a centre box, the 1.2 16v does have the centre box.
I can confirm that the MK2 and MK2bs have the same exhaust system. I've fitted a full system to both and they were the same (both 8 valves).
