Back to college! woot? =/! anyway..

a new speed bump :D (there was a speedy there already) but hey! its college! they dont mod cars! they mod speed bumps!

Lots of people going over it today in standard cars, (not lowered etc)

and i'm soon to lower my 55sx 40rear 45front, lmfao what a laugh that will be!

isnt there a freaking law for the size of speed bumps? cause the size is ridiclious..! seriously! a 4x4 would catch! :O!

i have to take interesting routes around speed bumps. its all good fun. i can't actually drive on my uni campus because of them. they're only bolted down though :chin:

u kno those plastic bollards that light up at night?

(ooo look i found a pic)

well i have 2 of those, one of the blue round signs from a round-a-bout, a little yellow flashing workmans light, a "fire lane do not park" sign, and a little sign from outside a petrol station that says "mace" :D

mase why.....

never mind but speed bumbs are a real problem for small cars as you don't want to knacker your suspension.

however when you take them slowly you get big landrovers up your chuff taking them with ease....flashing there lights at you to speed up.

mate... cause i can :D

i hate speed bumps, my ARB knocks on virtually every single one, unless im goin about 5mph, but thats just ghey

well when ya put it that way

am not going to argue with you....i hate em like nothing else me self.

i hate friggin speed bumps!!!!!!!! i was told to drive over them diagonally-the big ones anyway-seems to get me over without banging my exhaust
the worst ones are the square humps on either side of the road-u know the ones?! i have to go inbetween them on either side of the road :yuck:

99% of cars on the road will sail over those without issue, at 60+ if you want. Any lowered car, will instead smash its sump/arb/floor/exhaust into them. they are bloody stupid. I aim to get a wheel on each bump at each side of the road. this means my engine is no where near the ground. I quite enjoy aiming for the middle, and head on with oncoming traffic

the speed hups where i live are soo inconsistenant in their size its unreal. some are not worth it at all and other you dont go near!

i love the stupid little ones aswell, just line the car up in the middle and scoot across the damn things... they dont work so well. wont be doing it when my car gets lowered even more mind, esp as i will have a kit etc. there just annoying. the better option is the traffic calming bits where the road gets restricted, much more efficient and also doesnt victimise one group (modded or generally low cars)

ive seen plenty of people that just dont bother with the speed humps and just hoon over them, which yeah can look spetacular with the car taking off, but isnt in anyway safe!!

Take to the pavement!

It's a pathetic 1 car drive (long drive with about 3-4 humps) and it goes right across, no paths :)... (just walls)

I have lowered my coupe shed loads as u probably know and the front bumped catches on the bigger sized speed bumps!!! I have to watch certain ones aswell cause my side skirts are lower than a pavement from the ground, so one false move and bang!

Ross

we went over some in the stilo in sheff that must have been high considerin the stilo has no side skirts or front trim and isnt lowered but it still bumped the plastic thing under bumper. maybe it was the speed he drove over it?! lol

i see i'm not alone then, when i got to college this morning i found those fecking things to stop you driving out you know you can only go over 1 way if you like your tyres....

they are massive! i was worried about them hitting my car, wtf am i going to do when i get it dropped 60mm???

looks like i will need to find alternative parking(n) (n)

i'll complain if they do hurt my car, complaining gets you everywhere these days (y)
