Are most people planning on staying in Begium Friday to Monday and travel to Nurburgring on Monday? Only ask as most of the family rooms have been booked so Rob and i need to book somewhere to stay asap. I blame the alfa lot for taking all the best places to stay....lol

Im staying in the same hotel as you. The other half said I can't go without her and our daughter lol ..... Killjoys

We looking at Radisson Blu Balmoral Hotel in Spa at present. Other Hotel have emailed back to says no family rooms left. Going to look at where Jai and others are staying to see what local area and facilities are about.

Eddy has confirmed. We have one room with 4 beds booked. It's 180 euro's per night. So far we have Gary, Jai and myself confirmed for that room. That leaves one more bed in that room free. If we need another room I can email Eddy and increase the booking.

If we end up with a big number there are bigger rooms and possibly savings to be had. But that means double digit numbers. For now I think we're better off with the 4 room one and another 4 room one if we can make up the numbers. :)

My brother will take it (andysporting). He asked me to add a post on here for him. He said he'll post on here soon to sort out monies etc.

Jai - that also goes for place you lot staying in in Belgium. He did try to pm you but he didn't realise last night your mail box was full. lol. No doubt he'll just message you on facebook.

Dear Jai,

We would be very happy to welcome you in SpaItalia next June.
Please note that a reserved space for a club is free. We need to know at your
earliest convenience, the size of space you need including the stand and the number
of cars you expect.
Accesses can be ordered in advance and sent to one address of your club. There is no
discount on the access price for quantity below 50.
Of course, there is no problem to let the access to the event for your Ducato.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Jean-Pierre Magalhaes

Is there anything to do at the ring if you're not going on the circuit? Or is it in the middle of nowhere?

the immediate area is pretty much the ring, some people hike round it for action shots at some of the better corners. you're in the eiffel mountains good driving country, and the rhineland

http://www.virtualtourist.com/trave...lz/Adenau-80083/Things_To_Do-Adenau-BR-1.html

but to be honest, when jason and i went earlier this year, spent pretty much the whole of the tourist run days on the ring, days off here spent blasting round the countryside like loons, and evenings enjoying vast quantities of german food washed down with excellent beer.

Ben,

Plenty of opportunity for the taking of silly pictures as illustrated below:

Passenger rides in other peoples cars are always a good laugh. Scare yourself silly with none of the hassle of using your own car :)

Wander the car park and gorge yourself on car porn:

Also, there's a funky abandoned hotel right beside the track. If you get up on the roof you can watch cars thrash around the 'ring.

To say nothing of the huge steaks and excellent beer in many many places.

:)

update from the spa people:

Grand Parade is a full hour on the track. Speed of the participants is regulated by
Pace Cars.
Scuderia is a full hour on the track without speed limit. Helmet mandatory.
First run is few laps as passenger in a Ferrari

Kind regards,

Jean-Pierre Magalhaes

pace car doesnt hang about, but obviously is regulated.....still...

Just received email back from SpaItalia. You need to be over 16 to have first run in the ferrari as a passenger. That rules James out.
